Vision of Truth is a song from my new album Laserium for the Soul which has been nominated for a Grammy.

This song is about envisaging a new world of harmony, unity, compassion and love and finding ways to make a personal positive impact in the world to help turn that vision into reality.

This journey will most likely be a challenging but you need to hold onto your vision, be strong and stay true to yourself and your personal truth.

The truth is that if you don’t change, nothing will change around you on a local scale, let alone a global scale, so the more each person can act with a pure healing intent to help people and the earth, that energy will lead to a powerful collective consciousness of positive change.

This video was shot in various locations, including Sedona (Arizona), Ocean Shores (Washington), Antibes (France), Florida and in Seattle, Washington.

My journey to write this album began in January 2009 and I would love to share part of that journey with you, or more importantly the people who were part of that very special and challenging experience, without whom this would not have been possible.

The following wonderful and special people make up the force behind this album and who continue to be intrinsically linked to me and the music I would like to share with the world.  My aim is to be a sonic nurturer and for people to benefit from the healing vibrations in my music.

Carolyn Shepard

Carolyn is a good friend and neighbour with a wonderful heart.  She is a great Esthetician and runs her own practise called ‘The Face & Body Place’ here in West Seattle.  She was very supportive of my music, especially ‘Daisy Dancing’ which she would play to her clients during their various therapies and suggested that perhaps I make an album especially for spas.  That was the day that the real seed of inspiration was planted and spurred me on to begin writing this album.

Marcell is a talented musician, artist, engineer, producer, web designer and so much more.  As I was writing the album, he added some great percussion to one of my tracks ‘hello you’ and he also spent many hours in front of the computer with me as we methodically mixed all the songs.  He patiently worked his magic in Photoshop as we carefully designed the artwork for the album.  The imagery was taken from trips we had made to Florida, Colorado, Arizona,  France and here in Washington.  Using his web design skills, he then built me a brand new website which would help launch me into the next stage of my earthly and virtual world.  I am so grateful to him for all his love and support throughout this exciting and challenging experience.

Steve is a fabulous musician, noted mastering engineer of UltraViolet Studio, digital artist and electronics wizard, as well as being a wonderful mentor to both Marcell and me.   Above and beyond the aforementioned, he is also a good friend who I respect deeply.  One day in June, as we were listening to some of the songs from the album in his studio, he proclaimed that the music was like a ‘Laserium for the Soul’, as if a light bulb had gone off in his head! He explained that the music had spoken to him to and that he wanted to share his moment of inspiration.  Everything about the name felt right and resonated with me instantly, so that was the day the album was named and took on real symbolic energy, as if it had a life of its own.

Laz is a notorious mastering engineer, musician and a very special friend who intuitively understands my voice and my music.  He mastered  my album ‘Daisy Dancing’ in 2008 but then moved to Singapore.  However, with the power of the internet, we managed to track him down so that he could master ‘Laserium for the Soul’ with a similar mastering treatment that he had used on ‘Daisy Dancing’. With days to spare before the Grammy 2009 submissions, Laz delivered the mastered files to us.

And so the story continues …..

Henta is very pleased to be collaborating with Echo Us on their third album, “Tomorrow Will Tell The Story”. “Tomorrow” takes off where this Summer’s “The Tide Decides” concluded, and brings the Echo Us story into its next chapter.

Henta is preparing for Total Immersion II, which is a wonderful surround sound concert on June 13th in Seattle where she will be performing some songs from the new album as well as those from her other albums, as well as collaborating with StringStation and Marcell Marias. Henta has now finished writing her new album especially for healing, meditation and spa centres which focuses on chakra activation, healing and relaxation. The album is presently being mixed but Henta hopes to be able to release it by July.

Henta continues to focus on teaching children piano with an added provision for recording childrens’ simple compositions using a mobile recording unit. Please see the Teaching Page for more information.

Henta and Marias continue to perform live with special emphasis on downtempo gigs to promote healing and relaxation.

Grammy 2008 Nominations – Henta’s album ‘Daisy Dancing’ has made it into the overall Grammy Nominations Selections for ‘best pop album’ 2008 and her song ’so loved’ has made it into the ‘best female vocal performance’ 2008.

“Nothing quite like’ has been included in the fourth volume of a Benefits CD in an ongoing CD compilation series that generates money to house, feed, and find homes for wayward pets.

Henta has been working with Musical Minds Piano Keyboards Club who bring electric piano keyboards to schools and give kids an opportunity to learn to play their favorite tunes and melodies, from radio hits to movie and television theme songs. Henta has finally finished “Daisy Dancing”, her 2nd album, after spending just over a year in Seattle and many hours mixing and mastering with Laz Harris. Please keep checking the website for updates on CD release date, which is scheduled for the beginning of March, followed shortly by a CD Release Party in Seattle.

Henta has recently contributed a track called ‘Mercy mercy’ to Karuna Recordings’ debut release coming out this summer, MyGlobal Lounge is a Mix CD of Ethnic Fusion Lounge Grooves by emerging producers found on MySpace and mixed by Dj Muad’deep. This eclectic mix of Eastern and Western soundscapes coming together harmoniously is a reflection of the artists shared vision of global unity. These artists are collecting no licensing fees or royalties until their shared goal to raise $20,000.00 USD for the Breakthrough organization (a Member of the Clinton Global Initiative) is met or exceeded. Breakthrough is a international human rights organization that uses media, education and pop culture to promote values of dignity, equality and justice.

Henta wins second place in Electronic Mantra’s Synthesizer Contest with her entry called ‘Butterfly’ which can be heard on the Podsafe Music Network

Henta will be collaborating with Kevin Sawka, who will be remixing one of her tracks called ‘nothing quite like’ which can presently be heard on Soundclick.com

Henta is presently working on her second album in Seattle, consisting of rhythmical and melodical downtempo, ambient and acoustic heartfelt songs, some of which are collaborations with artists like David Miles Huber,
Marcell Marias and Ludington GT.

2006 – the year Henta moved to Seattle

Henta sold her home in Guildford, UK and moved to Seattle to go and stay with her good friend Ludington GT.

August

Henta performed with Ludington GT at Center Camp at Burning Man in the US.

June

Henta performed with Seattle’s LudingtonGT at Critical Mass in Seattle on the 23rd of June and met David Miles Huber for the first time.

2005
